Ankit is currently working as a post-doctoral research fellow in Bowers lab at Schepens Eye Research Institute. Prior to that, he was an institute post-doctoral fellow in Transportation Systems Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He received his Doctorate, Masters and Graduate degrees in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee in 2021, 2017 and 2015, respectively. His doctoral work investigated the influence of alcohol on driving behavior, which was a first-of-its-kind study on Indian drivers. His research interests include human factors in transportation, traffic safety enhancement, driver vision impairment, road user behavior, and traffic psychology. Besides research, he likes to travel, read, cook, and explore life.
