Jing has a background in Human Factors and Human-Machine System. She completed her PhD at Northeastern University under the mentorship of Professor Yingzi Lin in 2017. Her main research interests are driving safety, driving assistance technology, and virtual reality. In February 2018, she joined Alex Bower's lab, where she is currently working on developing a driving simulator and studying the effects of visual impairment on driving. Outside of work she loves travel and exploring new cultures, and is a big fan of authentic teas from across the world.
